Jomil

For ten years the Bethel Youth Group has been sponsoring a child from the Philippines through Compassion International, named Jomil. This has been an ongoing service project for the youth, which they have found very enjoyable and exciting. In order to support Jomil the youth need to raise $506 each year. Donations can be left throughout the year in the donation basket in the Narthex next to the Jomil display. Thank you for your support.

Dismas House

Dismas House is a supportive community that provides transitional housing and services to former prisoners and real-life educational opportunities to students from area colleges, and from througout the US and the world! The men and women of Dismas House live and work as a family, helping each other grow towards the goal of reintegration into society. Dismas provides a consesnsus-based, sober alternative to a return to the streets, and a return to incarceration. Our cooks, donors, board members and other volunteers help make reconciliation a reality.

Jeremiah's Inn

Jeremiah’s Inn is a social model residential recovery program for men. They also operate an Emergency Food Pantry.
Bethel Lutheran is a participant in the “adopt a room” program and responds to any needs in the Bylund Room #305 including electrical needs, bedding and carpeting to update room. Ralph and Irene Bylund are deceased past long time members of Bethel who were very active and contributed greatly to the church. Auburn Youth & Family Services

AYFS- Mission of Auburn Youth and Family Services, Inc. is to promote the healthy development of youth and families in Auburn. 508-832-5707 21 Pheasant Court Auburn, MASome of the programs available are Counseling, Tutoring, Food Pantry, Advocacy and Referral, First Day of School program and Christmas gift program. Members of Bethel Congregation and Social ministry program have donated & delivered food, provided scholarships for summer program, supported the Thanksgiving and Christmas Basket program and Christmas Gift Program

Worcester Fellowship

WOF- Worcester fellowship is dedicated to ending isolation ~ through spiritual care and community ~ for those living in poverty, both those presently with and without homes.
WOF is an outdoor church, meeting at 1pm every Sunday behind Worcester City Hall. After services lunch is provided and sometime items distributed such as sox, underwear, hats and hand sanitizer. Members of congregation and Social ministry committee worship with and provide lunch for WOF approximately four times a year.
